"Band is one of the best opportunities afforded their child in our district.  We are so fortunate to have the band/music program that Smith offers, which carries over to high school as well.  There is no need to have previous experience or knowledge of music.   It is not difficult to rent or determine an instrument, the band director (Mr Van Hooser) walks you and your child through every step with ease and understanding.  It’s a great community of kids/parents and it is truly amazing to watch your child go from not knowing one note of music to playing in their first concert by late fall.  Just a fantastic program all around!"
